Our dear Fellowship
It is vital that we do more than ‘talk the talk’. We must be a real reflection of Jesus in our character and lifestyle. Philippians 2:5-11 speaks of our attitude being the same as that of Jesus Christ. The demonstration He gave us is our role model. We must be like Him.
Selfless Church
When we worship together and when we work together the very nature of Jesus should be seen. The humility of Christ will be evident to all as we ensure our heart and mind is in line with His character. May we be a selfless Fellowship.
Sacrificial Church
True spiritual growth is not seen in the earthly personal progress of self gain, but in the obedience of self sacrifice. Jesus became obedient through dying upon the cross. You and I are called to lay down our lives in sacrifice. May we be a sacrificial Church.
Serving Church
When Jesus ‘took up the towel’ and washed the feet of the disciples He did so because no-one else was ready or willing to serve. Only Jesus was willing to bow the knee and do what was necessary. May we be a serving Church.
My prayer for GRC is that we would be a true reflection of the Saviour we love for His glory and purpose. Let us all seek to demonstrate these characteristics that people may see Christ in us.
Yours in Jesus

Psalm 97 – “The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad.”
Praise God! OUR GOD REIGNS!
In an ever-changing moral climate where day by day we see the evidence that our country is becoming more and more a godless society, we must remember that OUR GOD REIGNS.
Psalms 90-106 were formed as Book IV of the Psalms in response to the tragedy of the overthrow of Jerusalem, with the Babylonians reigning in David’s place. Despite this the faithful insist that God has not been defeated because OUR GOD REIGNS.
We are God’s faithful of the here and now and we need to take notice of the attitude and ways of the faithful in David’s time. In our world God is widely regarded as a ‘delusion’ (according to Richard Dawkins). The Church is seen as irrelevant and no longer part of people’s lives and thinking and is a declining force in our nation. The Church was once a dominate power in the political arena but now seen as a fading power with many politicians saying that they “do not do God”. In the face of these bleak realities we need to hold on to the truth that OUR GOD REIGNS.
Psalm 97 says ‘The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad’, so let us be glad, let us rejoice, let us praise the Lord! It would be so easy to give in to the statistics and critics but like the faithful of old we will not give in but we shall declare the name of the Lord. We shall shout aloud that our God is an awesome God who reigns forever and forever.
OUR GOD REIGNS.
