Our dear fellowship
Matthew 2 v 11
‘On coming to the house they saw the child with his mother, and they bowed down and worshipped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts'.
What a wonderful time Christmas is. It is a time to remember the coming of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ into the world.
We remember how He came
Jesus came in poverty that we might become spiritually rich. The King of heaven was born in an animal barn so that we might be welcomed into the throne room of heaven and live in the house of the Lord.
We remember why He came
Jesus came to save us from a lost eternity. He came to save us from sin and to bring to us the gift of eternal life by His death and resurrection. On that first Christmas the unique, sinless Son of God came to bring each one of us back to God.
We must remember to come to Christ in the right way
The carol says, ‘If I were a shepherd I would bring a lamb, yet what I can I give Him, give Him my heart'. As you and I celebrate Christmas this year let us remember to come in true worship. Come prepared to offer your most treasured gift. Open the treasure of your heart in worship and adoration and give the most expensive gift. Give your heart to Christ.
Miriam and I pray that you will have a blessed Christmas and a wonderful new year. Our most exciting year ever is about to commence. Praise the Lord!!
Yours in the love of Christ
Pastor Paul and Miriam
